B.Tech. Electrical Engineering is a 4 years degree course. The eligibility of admission in this course is 10+2 pass or equivalent from a recognized board or university.     B.Tech. Electrical Engineering: What is it About?

    The scope for students of B. Tech Electrical Engineering is very high. There are two options available for them either they can join higher education after this course or they can join their professional career as per skills. At present, electrical engineers have great demand in the market.

    An objective of this course is to ensure the success of the students for a long time. Students can develop their electrical skills and abilities with the study of this course. They also can improve abilities of professional attitude, effective communication skills as well.

    B.Tech. Electrical Engineering: Eligibility

    Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board/ university. Students are expected to clear entrance exam like IIT, AIEEE, AMU, UPSEE, BITSAT etc. 

    B.Tech. Electrical Engineering: Admission Process

    To get admission in engineering colleges, first of all student should be 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics. After that the student can attempt entrance exam or they can get direct admission also.

    After clearing the entrance exam, counselling will be done and the eligible candidate will be selected. And, if the student is getting direct admission then selection will be done on the basis of merit list or management quota.

    Following is the criteria for admission through different modes-

    Direct Admission- Engineering institutes which offer direct admission have certain criteria for admission. Either they offer admission on the basis of merit in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2 or equivalent or there are some management seats reserved in private engineering colleges. For management quota the fee structure is generally higher than others.

    Direct Admission for Diploma holders- Various engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to ITI diploma holders in second year of the course.

    Entrance Exams- There are several entrance exams in India at national and state level. Some private institutes like SRM University, BITS Pilani, VIT University etc conduct their separate entrance test. Some main national level and state level engineering entrance tests are below-
