Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering) 

B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering (B.Tech AE) is a 4-year undergraduate course in agricultural studies and processes. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Biology, Maths, and Chemistry. The mode of admission is through State/ National/ University Joint Entrance Examination or Pre Engineering Test.

The minimum eligibility for this requires, passing the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject such as biology, maths, physics, chemistry and English.

Minimum percentage of marks in class 12/ higher secondary Examination is generally from 45% to 50 %.

Top entrance examinations for B.Tech AE are as follows:

ICAR AIEEA: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research conducts an All India Entrance Examination. The applications are made available online in the month of January.

OUAT CET: Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Common Entrance Test’s application forms are available in the month of April.

EAMCET: Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test application forms are available in month of May.

Entrance Test

 The entrance examinations have negative marking of 0 to 1 mark.

The number of questions ranges from 150 to 200. The time allotted for the exam is 3 hours.
